i'm about to re-install because my hard drive screwed up.

besides that i just want to know some certain things before i re-do my mac.

i'm doing a fresh re-install, as in, i'm not restoring from time machine.

where can i find all of my playlist information so i can manually import it into itunes?

are certain programs that i have, need certain preferences stored, such as quicktime, visual hub, and what not?

all drivers are built into os x, so i don't have to get anything?

thanks in advance.

The iTunes data is an XML file in the iTunes folder. com.apple.iTunes.plist and com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist can be found in the Home>>Library>>Preferences folder. Back up all three.

You'll generally find the other things you need in the Application Support and or the Preferences folder in your Home folder.

As for the drivers, get updated ones from the manufacturer website and back them up as well.
