Re-position windows

    Not sure if this is the right place to post this. If not please move.

    Some apps - system prefs / Messages etc can be set to open anywhere on the screen, by placing them in a certain place. They keep this new position until changed again.

    Some apps - Handbrake / Qucktime 7 / Sound Studio for example, have, when opened, a preset position on the screen & always open in the same place, no matter where one places them.

    Can anyone tell me how i can alter it, so that they open in a different position on the screen, by default. There must be settings somewhere to alter this position, but so far i haven't been able to find where.

    Thanks for all the info - 'Stay' looks like it might do the job.
