I'm not sure how to explain this function

In Opera Mail I can open up a sent email and change the to: address - and then send it to someone else.

In Thunderbird I could take a sent or received email and select 'edit as new' which would launch a compose window with the previous message content intact.

Is there a similar option in Mac Mail??

yes mac is intuitive

thought to 'copy to drafts'

and then launch from there

and that works!!
