Reacher (2022- Prime)- Stellar, no nonsense Season 1. The Reacher, Tom Cruise could never be. :) Rewatched the Season final in prep for Season 2. Season 2 Episode 1 starts off well! I chuckled at the Sara Conner reference. :)

Watched E2 last night. Looks like his "history" is going to be more aligned with the books than the movies. For example, he mentioned seeing James Barr in Indiana. That is where the book has it set, but the movie was set in Pittsburgh.

But keeping that in mind, I would swear BL&T was set in LA and Vegas, not NYC and AC.

Rationing them to 1 every other day.

Just finished episode four of season two. We really like it. Some of the quick comments he and his teammates make have us in stitches. Funny stuff.

Overall we are liking it a lot and it is different than the first season which isn't a bad thing.

Read that Reacher was renewed for another season. Mrs. I7guy and I really like the show.

As far as season 2 glad "Finlay" made a guest appearance.

Yes.
Was hoping for Roscoe, but as soon as I heard Boston....

Funny that I read both books that the first two seasons were based off. Lee Child's Reacher is a guilty pleasure.

I like his stories, but his books could be 25% shorter and you would lose none of the story. He is very wordy.

That said, through E5 and very much enjoying it.

Love the books because Child details Reacher's thoughts. Even the fight scenes are explained in detail both tactically and strategically. This aspect is obviously missing from the shows. Nevertheless, I do like the show very much. It's kind of like the old Person of Interest from years ago where you had a big guy going around helping people out of trouble and beating up bad guys -- sort of like modern day between batman.

Finished season three over the weekend. We liked it and can't wait for more. We really like Alan... Dude has some really good lines and pretty much nails this role. I think it has been mentioned before, but if you ever get the chance, check out "Blue Mountain State" to see how he is at doing comedy. Man, he is freaking funny! Once you see Thad Castle, you can never unsee him...

I like this show, but the amount of killing that gets brushed under the rug is straining credulity. He should have been arrested and prosecuted so many times this season.

Just finished Season 3, loved it! they are keeping the series interesting. Cat poop coffee, no way… 😝

We did as well. But this season was much more tense than the previous two.

Rumors for S4 include two of the better books, Die Trying and Tripwire. Alan Ritchson says his favoite book is Die Trying and he wants to do it, but Tripwire also is circling the rumor mill. It has General Garber's daughter in it.

No matter what book, I can't wait.

Just watched the last episode last night. Can't help but agree with you.

I will say Season 3 was one of the books I hadn't read and I didn't see the twist at the end of Ep. 1 coming. That, from a TV writing perspective, was one of the best beats of the season. The eneviatible "big fight" in Ep. 7 was a bit of a let down to me. I don't know what I was expecting, but not that.

With the caveat this is entertainment, Reacher is not a police officer, and the people he killed were professional killers in most cases had just been trying to kill him, or would kill him in a heartbeat if they had the chance. The DEA agents he was working with, the woman was trying to save her CI, they were hanging on by a thread, so I was not bothered by executions especially the head bad dude.
