After upgrading to iOS 14 I have found that my read emails do not sync between my iPhone and iPad. Before I would be at work all day with my phone and read my emails. Coming home from work I would have zero unread emails on my iPad. Now all the emails I receive during the day still need to be marked as read in my iPad even though they have been read hours ago on my phone. Any idea what changed with iOS 14 to cause this?

I have this issue also with my iPad not showing emails read, even after reading them (on iPad).

Update: all seems to be working properly today on iPad, out of the blue.
Must have been server problem.

AFAIK syncing read status is always handled on the server side. I don’t think you can sync unless the server offers the option.
