Read notification

Is there an app thats supports if I text someone with an Android phone it lets me know if read or delivered?

I don't want to have to get a new number either.

Nope.
You wont be able to get that with a regural text message.
Only if you're using like a messenger service like whatsapp or similar programs on both phones.
