I use a DOS program, ppa.exe, for running a small set of spatial statistical routines. It takes text files for input. I have a MacBook Pro with Parallels / WIN XP. So, the problem is that I can start this program and it appears to function correctly on my Mac, but the files are not recognized. I have run this program over the years on PCs and it works fine. I can copy the same exe and txt files over to a PC and it works. Somehow, the XXX.txt file is not being seen or read on the mac.
The zip file attached has the program and a data file. If you start the program and try using the number 8 option, and then type in the name of the file, you will see the error message. Or if works for you - please let me know.
Does anybody have any ideas about this?
