As far as WAY to big text goes, thats not too bad. Its formated so you don't have to scroll sideways any and, seeing as its and eBay auction: large text is standard, if that had been a real webpage then I would have been shocked. I think if your going to make a new thread for something loke this it should be a website that has won the "Wost Design in History: Large Text" award, so find us a real instance of large text.

Not when a single word won't fit on a 17" monitor.

But I agree that we didn't really need a thread for this, it could have been used for an iPhone thread instead, there's only 450 of them, probably more by now.

Ah! Not another iPhone thread, point taken. Anything's better than that. :D

who cares?

It's ebay. And big type works on ebay.

So does a bit of design sense.

Here are 2 of my old auction pages:

http://www.7motion.com/ebay/isight/
http://www.7motion.com/ebay/eyetv/

They were first 2 items I have ever sold on ebay and both were quite successful for me.

I even went as far as designing thank you notes:

A little thought and care into presentation and service can go a long way these days. :) Sorry for hijacking this monumental thread.

It bothers me when people send me forwards

Generally that much suffices. ;)

We could go into a million things that are wrong with the way people use and abuse text, type, fonts...the lot on a daily basis, but for now I prefer to cringe and bear it. :p

No kidding! Those are really nice. I don't think I have the skills to produce anything even remotely close to what you'd done (but then I'm neither a graphic designer nor a web designer) but I agree, my ebay stuff has gone well when it's clear that I'm not a company and my descriptions are clear.

Oh the irony! How on earth can someone called dogbone possibly think that there are too many phone threads.
