I know Apple Watch series 2 is water resistant and all that. But have any of you really worn it to swim, surf, whatever in the ocean? I am going on a cruise next week and am considering getting one but only if I can truly leave it on. Ive read so many conflicting things on this.

Thanks

Bought mine today and will be swimming in the ocean all next week. I guess I will find out for myself my answer. lol I grabbed apple care just in case.

Had a buddy swim in the ocean with his Series 0 and its still going a good year later. I'd imagine you're fine.

Well it's fine for water, up to 50M in fact, so you're good there
And since salt is larger than water, the salt wouldn't affect the watch

I just read on the Apple website that after a swim i.e. Open water / pool to always lock watch and wash off in warm water to remove salt and Chlorine.
