I know I must be living under a rock, but I never noticed that RealBasic changed to Xojo,
I'm not sure why they needed to change.

Any users of Xojo/RealBasic? I dabbled with it on occasion but I never really embraced that platform. While I have in the past developed using MS' Visual Basic for some reason doing so on the Mac never really grabbed me.

Any other basic compilers for OS X, or have people moved on to Apple's development tools?

There are a number of BASIC compilers and interpreters for the Mac. Chipmunk BASIC is a good old-fashioned commandline BASIC interpreter. It is free. Basic for Qt® (V1.0) for Mac® OS X 10.7 and 10.8 is the new name of KBasic. PureBasic is not free. Objective-Basic is an Xcode language.
