Coming from a 6+, it's a nice upgrade. Definitely much faster. Love the home button, raise to wake, and incredibly fast Touch ID. Camera on 6+ is 8MP and on 7+ is 12MP so a 50% increase in MP. I'd say the quality is 50% better. Still not where I'd like it to be. My Canon Elph from 5 years ago is 16MP and is still better quality than a 7+, plus it has 5X optical zoom. So great improvements in the 7+ camera but still a long way to go, IMO.

That being said, I took family photos with the 7+ this year (instead of the Canon) and they turned out pretty good. As with the 6+, and all photography, lighting is key.

Upgraded from a 6 to a 7+. Much faster, screen is perfect (i.e not yellow or anything), love the bigger size, the new Home button, with 256 GB I can have my entire iTunes library on it... The new camera is great and the Matte black color is beautiful. It's the best iPhone I've ever owned, couldn't be happier.

I hear these exact statements with every new iPhone release every year and I always question what is met by snappier...does it mean 1 millisecond, 5 milliseconds.....what does the average person know about snappier if something just works....most smartphones are always snappy the first couple weeks

Battery life has always been good on a iPhone.....open and close your camera app ten times in a row and I bet you get a springboard crash...enjoy

Why do you question it? It's objectively true that each new iPhone performs better than the last. You always get a new chip/new architecture/more RAM and an even more refined version of iOS. So yes, each new iPhone is snappier (more fluid transitions, faster at opening apps, etc) than its predecessor that is "slowed down" by updated apps and an OS that increasingly demand more and more resources over time.

Oh, and by the way, I opened and closed my camera app 10 times. No isssue. Pay up. :p

I will only be able to buy early next year, unless I think I can absorb an extra 30+ on my Tmobile bill until I get the money to pay off the phone. Hopefully by then any bugs in iOS 10 are worked out. And hopefully issues with the screen and hissing are also worked out by then.

But by all indications I am going to buy this phone. Iphone 8 will be a major upgrade, but when I'm ready to buy again, any bugs and other issues will be worked out by then. I hope the rumors are true about the curved screen, OLED display, wireless charging and iris scanning.

Went from 6+ to 7+ and notice a difference in speed (opening apps, multi-tasking, inserting photos into email, etc), pretty much everything is faster with the 7+ as expected.
I will say the battery of my 7+ does seem to last me longer than my 6+ did, usually with my 6+ I would pull it off the charger in the morning and by the time I laid in bed, I was always between 10-20%, now I am closer to 40-50%, so I don't even charge it every night.
I almost took my 7+ back for the regular 7, but decided against it for the sole purpose of the AMAZING battery and I am happily keeping the 7+.

Going from a 6+ to a 7+ everything now seems so fast and so fluid. It really transforms the experience. No waiting - the apps are up and ready to use instantly. I use chrome as my browser, and now it's so fast and responsive, just like using a laptop. The Touch ID works so well you don't even feel like you are using it - the screen just comes to life.

I went from a 6s Plus to a 7 Plus. There is an improvement, but I truly did consider returning the new phone and sticking with my old one. The camera is appreciably better, my unscientific opinion is that the battery life is better (possibly because I've run through a good part of the battery lifecycle on the old phone). I don't message much, so can't address the improvements.

If you can get a very good deal on a 6S Plus, I doubt you'll suffer much, but (I assume they're still available) the deals for a "free" iPhone 7 from many cell providers may be worthwhile since you will probably keep the phone for two years.

I upgraded from a 6s+ to a 7+ and I absolutely love using this phone. The screen is much better - wide gamut makes images look crisper as well as more realistic- and the additional brightness is noticeable outdoors.

Yeah, it's faster, too, but at some point it's a rather insignificant uptick - YMMV.

The camera and video are great upgrades.

The thing I most love about it, though, is the Taptic feedback that has been sprinkled throughout iOS 10. It creates an illusion that the iPhone is responding in an entirely different way. Almost like a living thing. Sounds crazy, I know.

I don't use a case on my phone, and I am also super happy about the water resistance. I've always loved my iphones, but for the first time the 7+ feels like a companion device. I love it!

I'm coming from a 6+ and I find my 7+ to be much more snappier and the build feels more solid. I actually am happy with it. I also like it that it's now water resistant so I won't have to worry about getting it wet during the rainy seasons.

The 7 plus is nice but I do notice a yellow tint on the screen. Speakers are good, phone is fluid.

But mine had the hissing noise and while playing back video you can hear it. So I'm returning it and possibly waiting for the sim free version
