Core 2 Duo 2.13GHz~2.4GHz - Special low power edition for Apple only
2 to 4 GB of RAM - Soldered on the motherboard
    Nvidia 320M IGP
    128GB to 256GB SSD
    2 USB ports
    13.3 1440X900
8 Hour battery life due to slightly thicker design

1299USD entry with 1499USD for top end

Possibly 3G since they would have learned quite a bit doing the iPad but I give this 50/50 chance of happening.

I think 11.6" will probably cost the same or within 100 bucks of the 13.3 version. Battery life may be slightly less since there is obviously less space.

I know rumors are rumors, but have you not read any of them?

This is more a response to all the Core i7, dedicated GFX, USB 3, eSATA, 699USD wishing threads that have popped up in the subforum. Just bringing them back to a bit of reality.

Only a limited number of hours now and they'll be gone by themselves...

I leave open to discussion if the subsequent moaning threads will be any better though

Those are two different groups, the super spec people think it starts at $1999, we thought USB3 with SB (which supports it)

I feel like it is pretty safe to assume the pics we've seen are a good example of what will come. Given that- I feel like we will either see a C2D with Nvidia (like you mentioned) or a ULV i7/i5 with Intel HD graphics. I also dont think that you'll see a 256gb ssd. The SSD chip that has been rumored seems pretty likely- takes up less space, and anything more than like 64gb seems pretty unnecessary in a MBA. Remember guys, the MBA is not designed for power using. Therefore I don't see a discrete graphics chip, nor do I think a huge internal HDD or SSD is plausible. A higher res 13.3 display is also out of the question (unless of course apple is planning on upgrading the macbook/pro 13" screens as well). I do agree with the battery life being 8+hrs and the two usb ports though.
