Lately our Apple TV has started showing a super annoying notification across the top of the screen while watching a movie or TV show. It’s something about the privacy policy being updated and that we need to read it. There’s an okay button next to it, but no way to select it to dismiss the thing. After a minute it goes away.

Anyone else seen this? It’s incredibly intrusive and I’ve no idea what they think they’re doing interrupting a movie for something like that. If it’s so urgent why not do it before the movie starts?

We’ve tried a couple of times to stop it happening again, but the instructions the thing gives are vague and then it just disappears. Something about going to the ‘settings menu’ and then reading the updated thing. In the settings app theres nothing waiting there to be viewed.

You sure it’s not your TV doing it? Samsung have recently updated their own Ts and Cs.
Ooo, well played. It is a Samsung TV, so I think you could be right. Nice to see them finally update something after 8 years of ownership.
