Dont know if this will help BUT this was my case witha 3G:

1) Jailbroke and enabled battery percentage for iPhone 3G
Battery ran down REALLY Quickly..maybe in like 12 hours it was down to 20%

Then i felt like disabling battery percentage..and the battery life went up!
Yes its really weird but this is what I saw:

with Battery % ENABLED: the icon of the battery shows to be less than it actually is! - i tested this by actually enabling/disabling battery percentage many times, and I noticed that the green bar at the top right corner actually increased/decreased, which means the % was actually wrong.

yea i was just trying to figure this same thing out. i had it jailbroken for about 2 months and all of a sudden started seeing it drop real fast so i restored but im still not seeing a different. it drops about 10% with usage an hour. still bad to what i used to get. So if i restore as new phone? will that be different then just restoring? and now that im at 4.1 is there any way to go back down to re jailbreak?

Hey.
You restored and theres no difference? (i.e. youre not jailbroken currently?)
Thats strange..battery life should be fine unless your battery is truly messed up because of overcharging or something.

you can try restore as a new phone..
If youre on 4.1..you can jailbreak anytime..just yesterday, LimeRa1n released which jailbreaks any phone running 4.1

well i noticed what you posted above seems to be true. Right now im at 18 hours off standby and 2 hours and 18 minutes of usage and im at 81%. so its seems to be normal. So it works on jailbreak me ?
also when i watch the percent in the right corner. it looks like it will drop 1 percent every 5 mins of usage. whats up with that?

When I had my 3G, i noticed this too, I think the script which enables this feature might not be very efficient, but that's of course idle speculation.

Yeh! Every few minutes, it would go down by 1% so I just disabled it and its back to normal.
