Hi,

I have an iMac and a MacBook Pro, both of which are connected to a new AE base station.

I want to share files between the two (i.e. if I do something on my mbp I want the same file to be available, updated, on the iMac).

I turned file sharing "on" on both machines and I am able to see everything on my iMac from my macbook pro.

I decided that I want all of the movies on my iMac on my MacBook Pro. Simply enough - I went to "movies" and dragged everything to my mbp's movies folder. Isn't airport extreme supposed to be 100 mbps or something? IT seems to be doing like 2-3 mbps (i.e. 8 GB of data is taking like 40 minutes). Any ideas?

Also, how do you guys change the icons of the networked computers (like I've seen in the photo galleries). All I get is a boring sphere with little white lights. (haha this is a dumb question, I admit it)

Thanks !

Are both of the Macs plugged in via Ethernet or wireless?

Both are using wireless, and both have "n" networking capabilities and they are both connected to the n basestation. so what gives? lol
