Really have to wait 31 days for iMessages in iCloud to be deleted?

I'm having an issue with CarPlay displaying old deleted messages (only on CarPlay). I want to see if turning off Messages for iCloud resolves this issue...but it states in 31 days all messages in iCloud will be deleted. Anyway to speed up this process and not have to wait 31 days....?? Good Lord.
