am sitting on the sofa all day (not typical, really), running on the battery... and still 50% left.

am loving this thing. working in: affinity photo, dreamweaver. music playing (earbuds). safari's open (about 16 sites), checking email, messages; making notes, some calendar entries. and not for a moment does anything feel sluggish.

crashplan running in the background, so everything's backed up.

really, my fave mac to date (and i started with the then amazing 2400C (google it)). a great time for apple, really...

So glad to read about your usage and the rMB coming out good. What's your memory pressure graph like?

working hard (itunes playing, dreamweaver, affinity photo, safari, messages, mail, calendar, notes...)

Aha! 3/4 full, but you're using the machine more like a "pro". Impressive performance indeed. 8 apps open, with the adobe app and safari (16 tabs as you said) being memory hogs. And mail, too. Splendid performance!

Tempted more than ever, but don't want to get buyer's remorse 4 months on if they introduce Touch ID (not bar). That is the only thing I am looking forward to. I have no conclusive idea about how big a performance gain Kaby would be.
[doublepost=1479096252][/doublepost]My Late 2011 15" with 16GB 1600MHz RAM and 256GB SSD. Only thing I don't like about this notebook is the weight and the fact that it is a ticking time bomb with the AMD Radeon HD 6770M graphics. The battery is now shot. Here I have opened all the apps I *might* one day open simultaneously. Out of these, Word, Folx, Safari and Messages are the only ones I would have opened together on any given day. Safari has 25 tabs at the moment.
