I have an old white iMac with broken screen: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ly-got-for-free.1064429/page-46#post-21157438 :)

I wanted to replace the screen using UniMac V4 from RealMacMods. Over a month ago, on October 19th, I have placed an order on their website and paid with PayPal. Unfortunately, the order is still marked as "Processing” and no one answers to my messages (I have tried using the email address listed on their website and the contact form). I have read here on MacRumors that some people used UniMac in their iMacs, so I thought it was a legitimate website, not a scam.

Does anyone have any way to contact the owner(s)? Yeah, I still believe this is some sort of misunderstanding, I'm definitely way to honest for this... ;)

I'd reach out to paypal and dispute the transaction, you should get your money back

I would just cancel the order through PayPal.

I've just got an email from RealMacMods owner, apparently there were some problem with part supplier or something. The package has been sent, I've got a tracking number… Seems everything will end up well after all :)

Glad that they finally responded, but seems kind of incredulous that it took a month for them to respond.

I can beat that.

23rd Sept ordered a refurbished macbook pro (2009 13")

Still fighting to get refund as not with me still.

company claim hermes lost it but refuse to give me tracking so I dont think it ever got sent.

I see you're in the UK.

I presume it was over £100. Did you pay by credit card? If you did you can hold your cc company liable under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.

Paypal and already submitted dispute.

I got £500 fraud cover via paypal.

Was £160 for the macbook for reference.

...good to hear. Keep us posted; I want to know the ending now ;)

The package arrived on Thursday! Now I need to get an LCD – and that iMac will be alive once again… Hopefully :)
