If Windows dropped to approximately 5% of computer users, it would die, because it would no longer have the one thing that makes people use it: software compatibility.
It's more likely it would be Linux rumors.

Microsoft's lawyers could delay a saints getting into heaven. If they can't prove their case, they have the money to tie it up indefinitely.

I was thinking that MS might be buying VPC to help them through the impending switch to 64bit. AFAIK AMD and Intel have different 64bit options so to produce one OS that can service old 32bit Winapps on both platforms they may need to pull a bit of emulation????
Cant find a review of wintel 1.0.0 anywhere. Anyone heard anything. VPC is way too slow for even office 97. I set up an AV solution whereby the incompatibilties could be averted with one machine Office X and VPC 97 but now that keynote imports powerpoint better than PPX it may be uneccessary...

Get WinTel. At least you can start using it RIGHT AWAY.
FWB has been promising vaporware for the past 2 years (Hard DiskTool for OSX, Partition Toolkit for OSX). You may have to wait AT LEAST 6 to 9 months for Real PC.😡

After seeing the removal of the beta program for RealPC I wrote and complained asking for my money back on RealPC for OS 9. This is the reply I got from the "new" president. It does not sound good.

I have removed Mr Mark Strathdee as CEO of FWB software and replaced
him with myself.
The process of handing over is still under way and I have not as yet
had a chance to verify the authenticity of the claims made by the
previous management._ Because of this I have removed the claim from the
website whilst I carry out this investigation.
As soon as the story is clear I will make the appropriate press
releases to notify the public of the complete story. It is expected
that this will be done during the up coming week.

I'm glad I didn't get sucked in and buy the old version, I decided to wait until it was released and see what the reviews say. At the rate we're going, there won't be any reviews, because there won't be a product to review!
