So, I've got some Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste laying around from an old PC build. I am putting a logic board back into a powerbook and I'm wondering if I can use the Arctic Silver for the G4 processor and ATI GPU or if there's a better alternative.

The paste apple used seems to be very thick, but I don't remember AS5 being as thick.

Thanks

Arctic Silver is fine to use.

But, depending on the model, they use a thermal pad and/or paste (some use both - pad for the CPU and paste for the GPU).
