I just got a canon rebel xs.. my only concern with it is the "plasticky" grip. Are there any accessories that I could buy to add on that will make the grip more comfortable? Maybe a molded accessory?

The only thing hat I can think of is a battery grip. It adds an extra battery and vertical shooting controls in a screw on rubber textured grip. Look at "grip for canon xs" on Amazon.

Do you mean "XSi" as in Canon 450D, and do you have only the regular body or the Canon BG-E5 battery grip too? If you have no battery grip, there is a covering that you can buy from Camera Armor:

Camera armor came to my mind also, it ill be bulkier, perhaps a good thing so you have more to hold onto, the rubber on the camera armor feels very nice also.
