I have been doing this all along, i.e. I've disable the sleep function. 🙂
The point of all this bickering is to get the sleep feature working again to save energy when the system is idle. I haven't hooked my MacPro up to the kill-a-watt monitor yet so I'm not sure what the system draws when it is idle vs. when in sleep but a guy can save a considerable amount of power by utilizing the sleep function.
I'm not stressing about this issue at all but Apple need to realize that this is a bug and it should be fixed.
