rebooted my computer..asking for a darwin/bsd ??

my computer was completely shot so i rebooted it. now when i start up the screen goes black and it says:

Darwin/BSD (my computer name) (console)
login:



everytime i put my login then password, it says incorrect. any way i can get through this?

Hey brett57, I found this thread on the Apple support forums that appears to address your problem - make sure you go through the whole thing as it seems a few people posted with the same issue and for some the solution posted worked.
