i just received my iPad Pro 12.9 today, and boy am I a happy costumer!

To anyone who awaits their 12.9-inch, lemme tell you, you won't be disappointed! I've played around with it at the stores many times, but for some reason it feels a lot smaller when using at home. I can't explain it, but I almost questioned if this was an 11.7-inch that I had not been known about. I'm very pleased with the size. The full-sized keyboard is also amazing. It feels effortless as if I'm using my macbook's keyboard (without the physical touch obviously). The Apple Pencil is also amazing at selecting text with if you dislike using your finger as much as I do.

Can iOS 11 come any sooner? lol.

Ps - I want to make this clear that this is not a 10.5 vs 12.9 debate topic. I made this thread to talk to anyone who's getting the 12.9 and have no interest in pro and cons of the sizes. They're all great in their own way, so dont ruin it for people who wanna talk about the delivery of their 12.9

I think the iPad 10.5 is perfect except for
Multitasking. If I intended to use my iPad primarily for work I would've gone for the larger screen. Two word documents side by side is teeny!

Ended up getting the 12.9 model. :p I'll give a whirl for a couple of weeks to see if I like it. I call it my maxi pad. :apple:

Glad to hear it! I have one en route to me, currently in Hong Kong. No one local has any of the new iPads so I was not able to play with them in a store prior to ordering. I went with the larger size for my sheet music and hope i do not find it too big for other things I do. I do think it will be useful for taking notes for meetings at work so am looking forward to testing that out.

The 12.9 is great if you're not into the mobility of a tablet. For my 10.5 is about the max size you can have with a tablet and still be able to hold it in portrait mode. Once it's landscape only like the 12.9 (in terms of comfort and practicality) you might as well use a laptop and have 1000x the functionality

The 12.9 is still mobile to me and I find it very comfortable to use. I bought it because I didn't want to use my laptop as it felt heavier. I never used my air in portrait mode. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Not into mobility? The 12.9 is almost too small en my eyes. So small, light and portable.

Exactly. It's kinda funny how this thread is about me receiving the 12.9 Pro and it turns into a review on why the 10.5 is better, lol. This is not a "12.9 vs 10.5" debate but me expressing me satisfaction with 12.9 (and other 12.9 buyers to express theirs, too). No hate on towards the user though

That other forum member didn't give a review on the 10.5 iPad. They made a valid point that the 12.9 iPad doesn't nearly have the mobility factor that the 10.5 does have. The 12.9 is very much mobile, but it's large enough where it's unwieldy depending on how your holding it. I prefer the 12.9 more in desk top mode with the Apple Smart Keyboard, mainly because it's not as comfortable to hold.

This is a thread about me receiving my 12.9 and for those who are interested in the 12.9. There's many 10.5 vs 12.9 threads in the iPad section where your 'valid points' will be more fitted :)

Any and all opinions are welcome in this thread, it's part of discussion. A thread doesn't correlate just based off your viewpoints because you started a thread on it or because someone else offered their opinion on another iPad. Furthermore, I made contributions to why I prefer the 12.9 iPad with the Smart Keyboard in desk top mode, so my points are appropriate in this thread.

No. Because this is not about the 10.5, but only those who are interested in 12.9 and not 10.5. You're going off topic to be provocative.

You're being overly dismissive. Anyone can offer their viewpoints on why they prefer 12.9 in comparison to the 10.5, or vice versa. There are multiple post(s) in this thread that have mentioned the 10.5 iPad. You're in an iPad forum and it's not uncommon where others or share their opinions based on size preferences. That's perfectly fine that you want to discuss the 12.9 iPad, but you can't control the thread based on others viewpoints or contradictions. Again, that's part of discussion and it's not a violation of the rules. Which, I have offered my opinions on the 12.9 iPad, so they are valid in this thread.

You just don't get it. This is about me receiving my iPad 12.9 and to those who only wants 12.9, and you're going off-topic. Let people discuss their 12.9 in peace.

I do get it. Please reread my prior post. I have again, offered my opinion and viewpoints of the 12.9 iPad for mobility and how I prefer it in desktop, with an attached keyboard. That's not off topic. You continue trying to control the thread because someone else mentioned a 10.5 iPad (Multiple members have), or any iPad for that matter, does not violate any rules. So your comment is moot and I can continue to comment freely.

The reason I'm bothered by the 10.5 talk is because I made this thread focusing on the 12.9 and sharing with fellow 12.9 fans how happy I am with my device. The moderation team once removed my posts for not discussing a titled related topic, and If I have to respect the rules then it should imply to everyone else. So, no I'm not against the 10.5 and i don't want to control your opinion, but people are turning my topic into another versus which there's thousands of already, and I'm sick of Pro and cons. Sometimes people just wanna talk about a particular device that they've made their mind up on and that's why i titled it 12.9. But some people (not you) always have add the "-but!" Instead of just congratulating. Honestly if this is going to be another debate then I'm going to delete this thread anyway.

What did you expect? It's a discussion forum. Were you intending this to just be a statement, sat all lonely on it's own? Or a thread full of "I'm chuffed with my 12.9 too" replies?

you're rude and vile. Why do even come here.

I think that's a little bit of an overreaction? You have posted in a discussion forum, yet you are offended that people have discussed your post. Not sure what your expectation was.
A forum is more then discussing it's also sharing with each other and this thread was meant to share your thoughts on the the 12.9 first impression. not sure what yours expectation was, other then to be sour over someone being happy with their 12.9 if wanted to hear a pro and cons I'd make a thread called "10.5 vs 12.9" or "what cons do you have for the 12.9" but I get it. Miserable people wants everyone to be miserable.

Oh dear, the internet is not for you. Glad you like your 12.9" - is that an acceptable contribution to this thread? For the record, I'm not happy with my 12.9", as it's only 10.5"

Congratulation to the 12.9. I found it to be a great device for both professional and recreational use. It seems that the comments in the forum are often from people that need constant confirmation that they own the "best" device. Ignore them and enjoy your iPad. There are lots of positive threads far away from the futile debate about size.
