Hi all,

I received my Apple Watch Series 4 today, except it turns out they sent me the wrong one! I ordered 40MM Aluminum LTE with Sport Band and received a GPS only with Sport Loop! Anyone know what I should do?

I called Apple but they seemed pretty hopeless - they kept insisting if I need to send it back for them to send me a new one. That's going to take ages... any way to do this in-store? Has anyone been in the same situation?

I don't think there's any official procedure for this in-store, but you could go there with all the paperwork for your order (including the packaging) and see if they can do this exchange.

Otherwise, yeah, you need to send it back.

What does your order on the website says?
is the Serialnumber on the invoice the same as your watch? Not you accidentally ordered the incorrect one. :-/
 
They do not match. I checked my order (at first I also thought I ordered the wrong one). And I received the AppleCare+ confirmation this morning and the serial number there doesn't match the serial number of the watch I received either.

Okay thats not good, because if you try to return it in Store, they need to doublecheck the Serial Number with your order and as it does not match, I am not sure if they can take it back..

Yes they can do it in an Apple store, do you have one nearby? They just need to have one available to exchange.

You sure? I would think that they can only exchange if the serial numbers match. This is a strange case.
 
At least you received one. Either Apple or UPS jacked up my delivery and now its scheduled for Monday.

I was in the Pacific Centre store today getting my AW. It was a bit of a zoo but they had everything but SBSS. They may just have what you ordered.

That's great to hear! I'm busy until later but then I'll try to go to Oakridge and maybe Pacific Centre. I don't mind buying an extra one now and then waiting for a refund - I really just want the watch!
