I ordered my iPad2 just after 3am CST on 3/11 (I happened to wake up in the middle of the night and went for it!).

My iPad2 is estimated to ship within 3-5 days. I'm hoping I ordered early enough to be in the first wave of shipments.

Anybody already received a shipping notice? Post here when yours arrives.

Would love to know the carrier(s) and origination location.

My current order status: not yet shipped.

I ordered two of them. A black and a white version (both 32GB WiFi only). I also order a green and pink cover.

Order status:
Covers are "prepared for shipment;"
iPads are "not yet shipped."

I ordered 15 minutes early at 3:45 a.m. EST.

Looks like shipping is now at 2 to 3 weeks according to Apple's website. Glad I ordered when I did. I'll update as the status changes.
 
Ordered my ipad2 3g 16gb for VZ at 4am EST, and just got my FedEx tracking number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I ordered black 32 GB AT&T at 4:06AM EST.

Mine still says not yet shipped and ships in 3-5 days.
 
Ordered at 4:03 AM ET, and my Smart Cover and iPad 2 are still "Not yet shipped" (duh).

Hoping mine'll be in the first batch.
 
Congratulations! Let us know where it is shipping from and estimated arrival date when you can, please!

My order went thru at 3:51 EST. A 16 and a 32 Wifi - both black. Still says Ships in 3-5 days - "not yet shipped". Will update if it changes.

Hah, no problem. Some people like to stir things up with posts like that at every new product launch. I feel bad for you, if anything, I'd probably freak out thinking it shipped and then realizing it didn't after that.

No worries- we appreciate being honest and saying you made a mistake. Nothing worse than those jackwaggons who make a claim like that and try to pass it off as real.

Here's to hoping the real numbers come soon.

I feel like crap now. I just got all excited and everything. I didn't even pay attention or realize that it would ship separately. Sorry again to make everyone excited. I'm going to go band my head on the desk for a few hours.

You made me feel like a jack@$$ for a second for not ordering at 5AM when I checked the site and they were available for 3-5 days lol.

Now I feel ok again, but yea thanks for updating.

Well, now Apple.com shows 2-3 weeks... so maybe you should have ordered it at 5am
 
Yeah my "Stupid Case" shipped already . Got tracking.

I love getting accessories before the fact....:D
 
sorry guys im a little bit confuse,
Ships: 3 - 5 business days
Delivers: Mar 18 - Mar 25

means i will get it between 18/3 and 25/3??
 
For the online orders, when do they charge the card for the iPad 2? Now or when it's getting ready to ship?

I may go later and see if it's easy to get one. If I can, I'll cancel my current iPad 2 order. I'm just curious on the credit card charges.

They'll run an authorization at the time of placing the order, and make the actual charge when it ships.

Not a problem unless you don't have enough headroom to cover both the online authorization and an in-store purchase.

I see. Thx. I guess they'll be two chargers, one for hdmi adapter that's shipping soon and for the iPad 2.
 
Anybody have an iPad2 moved to 'prepared for shipment'?

They can ship accessories same day but not the actual iPad2?

Really feels like a deliberate attempt by Apple to get people into the retail stores.
