Ordered Black Wi-Fi 64 gig on April 17
Original ship/delivery date: May 9/ May14
Bumped to May 4/May 11
Upgraded my shipping so it was May 4/May 9
Prepared for shipment sometime Saturday.

I was hoping it would ship today...but still no word.
 
When do I get some sort of tracking number for this thing? Do I have to wait till its shipped?
 
Spoke to FedEx who confirmed that my iPad has been sitting in Mephis since 3am last Thursday morning and still remains in customs clearance there. Only response I received was "Sorry".
Apple refunded my expidited shipping fee of $12.00 and offered another "Sorry".

I'm really sorry too that I am sitting here 4 days after my delivery date without my iPad.

Arrived today (5/2) via FedEx! I'm at work and my wife is teasing me by texting various pictures of the box. Can't wait to get home!
 
I ordered on 4/22 and today my status changed to 'prepared for shipment'.

My ship date is still 5/6 as quoted, but the delivery date just went from 5/10 to 5/11 which doesn't make much sense since I paid extra for expedited shipping.

Oh well, guess I'll be awaiting my 'shipped' email.
 
ordered mine on 4/20 original ship was the 4th and delivery as the 5th. Changed to ship on the 4th delivery on the 9th. As of today it now says prepaired for shipment :D

It's here!

I ordered my iPad on April 20th, and it came this morning. In fact, I'm posting this reply on my new white 64 gig wifii iPad. It was originally estimated to come May 4, but by watching the tracking info from Fed-ex and the yahoo small business webpage I realized it was coming this morning while I was at work. I called home and woke up my college age son and told him to camp out by the front door so there would be no mistake about delivery. I also had him email me when it got to the house. It was hard to put in the whole work day knowing it was home, but somehow I made it!

The information I picked up from this blog post was really helpful in figuring out when it was going to arrive. The yahoo small business webpage definitely gave me more details than the Fed-Ex website did. It also seemed to update just a little faster than the Fed-Ex site did. Go figure!

I was torn between going to the local store and camping/hanging out waiting to see if they had 1 for me. When I called the store to check on shipment inventory, they went from telling me to come early to recommending ordering it online. I decided to be patient and order it from apple. Now I have the one I want, plus I had it engraved, which is a small detail, but one I wanted. Anyway, it's here and it's cool, and I couldn't be happier. if you're still waiting for yours......hang in there.

Exact same thing here. I ordered on April 16th. Set to be delivered 5/3. As of 7:36 PM it says it is still in Chengdu. Ups is screwy...

You got yours quick. I ordered mine one day later and its only "prepared for shipment." Did you do the quicker shipping?

I'm in Singapore. Ordered my 32Gb 3G black online the minute it was launched on 29 Apr over here but it only ships 16 May and delivery is on 19 May. Boo hoo :(
 
I ordered 16 g wifi white on april 11th, shipped on april 29, estimated to arrive monday may 2 at 10:30 am... never happened no longer has estimation date but it has arrived and left Alaska so im hopeful for tommorow i live near boston, what do yall think??

Where will it go next then after that? then to the truck? im very confused haha help would be appriciated

Ordered 4/28 in the evening, and mine has said since I got the order acknowledgement that it should ship May 12th and deliver May 17th. Such a long time. :(
