macOS Receiving input from apple remote in java?

Hi!
Trying to add apple remote-functionality to one of my applications, but haven't found anything good on google as to how to listen for clicks of the button. Any pointers to where I can find some good info? Tried the iremoted.c but I'd rather write the code myself.
