iPhone Receiving picture messages

I keep getting this error when receiving pictures from people. It says the message is downloading but it's only an image. I can see the image on the lock screen when the message is received but not in the messages app. Anyone else?

I haven't had this at all... Maybe try completely closing the messages app (through multitasking) and then a normal, soft reboot (slide to power off etc.)?

Have tried both methods. I can send pictures and view them within the App. Weird

I had this issue with my phone a few months ago. The only fix for it is to completely restore your phone as new, using a backup will bring the issue back. I know it sucks, but that's the only thing that'll work. From what I was told somehow messages got corrupted. It has only happened to me once out of the 4 years I've used iOS.

I am having this happen to me as well. Though it does not seem to happen on all my conversations.

Just click on details and you will see all of the attachments just fine.

Can view them under details in right top of screen, this only happens to me in iMessage, regular SMS messages with pics attached are veiwable in the message string

I can't confirm this problem. I am able to see all the Pictures in the conversation. However it takes me a long time to send pictures via iMessage. Even if I am connected via a 100MBit Internet connection.
