I am not sure if this is a 3.0 feature or if it has been around for ages in the USA but I had a missed call from an american number and it told me what state/county the call was from.

Is this for US calls only? (I am in the UK) or do other countries also have this feature?

I had assumed it did it based on the area code. It might be US-only but I would think Apple could easily implement it for other countries too, depending on the phone numbering system (or something else).

Not quite just the US, I called Toronto and it said "Ontario, Canada"

I'd imagine it's just for countries that fall under the North American Numbering Plan and have a country code of +1, which is basically the US, Canada and some Caribbean countries

Thanks. Its a pretty cool feature.

I guess the database for this is not cached as it only shows up in my recent call list, not when recieving the call?
