Recent Contacts on Multitasking screen

is there a way to delete those recents on the multitasking screen?

Settings -> mail, contacts, calendar -> go down to contacts, show in app switcher.

That's not there any more....

It should all still be there in iOS 8, which is what this thread is in relation to.
