There seems to be a new iOS 15 bug in the Home app that has rendered smart home devices unresponsive. I have not had any issues before the latest iOS update which is why I think it is related.

My August Wifi/Bluetooth home lock is unresponsive in Apple Home app and I cannot communicate with it unless I use the August App. I also have stopped receiving Home notifications for the device when it does run.

My Ikea Fyrtur smart blinds - 2 of 3 work fine, the third no longer communicates with the Home app consistently and as a result the status of the blind is being fought over between the Ikea app and the Apple app. As a result my Home automations run but instead of opening or closing, it does nothing, but then the blind status says it is open when actually closed.

I have reset both Home connections by removing from Home and adding the HomeKit connections back in to no avail. I also reset the iffy blind and it worked once then went back into the same buggy pattern. All devices, apps, and firmware are updated to most recent. Does anybody else have issues like this after the latest updates?

Yup. But I've had similar issues with earlier iOS versions as well. HomeKit for me is a crapshoot at best. Apple defines the protocol but manufacturers implement it some far better than others. Many of my 50+ devices work well in their own apps but may or may not work in Home. My takeaway is that the protocol as Apple defines it is not sufficiently robust to ensure HomeKit compatible labeled items really are. Just a guess, but yes, Home is iffy for me and I can't depend upon it.

Now that I think of it, my Hue bulbs have also been iffy. My standard Home routines have been forgetting to turn on certain lights randomly. Like I said though, everything was working fine up until the most recent update.
