Recognize gesture on homescreen?

How can I recognize gestures on my homescreen?

For example, i want to run some code once a drag right gesture is received on the home screen ( or all screens if possible)?

You want to override one of the most basic Gestures, and even that, outside of your sandbox, which is Jailbroken-phones related. which most of us, are not familiar with.

Have a look at gesturizer in cydia. It lets activator run things when you draw your gestures @ double home tap.
