My film scanner (a Coolscan 9000) has been hanging oddly when I scan medium format film using a certain film tray - always and only at frame 2 or 3.

It has been suggested to me that I should try with a separate FW card instead of using my Mac Pro 3,1's FW connections (the hang appears regardless of which of those connections I use). The scanner uses FW400.

I would be grateful if someone could recommend a FW400 PCI card to me. I had a look here in the Netherlands and found mainly cards from manufacturers I'm unfamiliar with (here).

Thank you in advance

Philip

Thank you for the replies.

I'm using Vuescan. The problem is related to the tray I'm using which is a non-Nikon tray (image mechanics wet mount tray).

Out of curiosity, are you using the Nikon software or 3rd party software?
