After owning just about every Mac I still know little more than how to plug it in and I need some help. I'm a photographer and a lot of my work is in HDR and RAW files of 35+meg. Earlier this year when I had a different idea about what the new mini would be I bought a monitor so I would be ready for the transition from my 27" iMac and I have a drobo and several drives to store my files. I'm planing on doing some traveling in a motorhome and will process and print my work on my Epson 4900, at least until the extended warranty expires. Other than processing my photos just routine Internet surfing and email is all I do with the computer.
I really would appreciate any suggestions on how to configure a mini or if I should be considering another iMac.
Thanks for your thoughts and help.

I occasionally work with three-frame HDRs and up to about 15-frame panos on my 2012 minis. Almost all images are 5D mark III RAW files. The minis are not exactly barn burners but they get the job done.

Like most people (I imagine) my suggestions are lots of cores or fast cores, 16GB RAM and an SSD.

Thanks scottsjack, you've obviously hit the nail smack dab on the head since there doesn't seem to be any other suggestions.
