Hey guys

I am looking to replace my current Mac Pro with the new Mac Pro. What I do is video and photo editing. (Adobe Suite, Final Cut etc).

Here are the specs of my current machine:

Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro5,1
Processor Name: 6-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 3.33 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 6
L2 Cache (per core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 12 MB
Memory: 10 GB
Processor Interconnect Speed: 6.4 GT/s
Boot ROM Version: MP51.007F.B03
SSD hard drive

Which Mac Pro would give me noticeable speed improvement over my current machine?

Thanks!

Likely any of the configurations would be a noticeable improvement. But depends on how you define that. I'd go with the 6 core.

I would say you need to upgrade ram to 16 Gb (4×4) in order to take advantage of 4 channels. Also 256 GB for storage is a bit too less. I would say 512 GB at lease. Either D500 or D700, depends on your budget.
Thanks. Just splurged on 6-core, 16GB, 512GB and D500.
I should notice the speed difference between my old and new computer, right?
