My wife has a medical condition that results in often losing her grip on her iPad as she walks around the house with it.

I’m looking for a real leather folio type case that offers edge protection for the iPad Pro 11”. Black or vintage brown, I need something that will protect the device from a waist height drop onto hardwood when open, and that looks and feels premium. I can’t consider the new Apple folio cases as they have zero edge protection for drops. I am not looking for a Otterbox or such.

Thanks in advance! I will consider anything under 200$.

This is the sort of thing I’m looking for but for the 11”:

I had this Pad and Quill case for my 9.7” iPad, and really liked it. The edge protection is very good. A few things to consider, the iPad adheres to the back cover with a 3M adhesive. It works very well, but some folks don’t like this idea. The case is a little heavier than many cases. I did not find it a negative, but this may be a consideration for your wife.

I was just about to order this one. As per the website, the ASK will fit inside as well.

If there's adhesive, does that mean you can't take it in and out of the case?

While you can remove and attach the iPad multiple times, if this is something you plan on doing regularly, this is probably not the case for you.

I doubt that I would. I just like having the option.

The case looks well-designed, and I'm guessing (hoping?) the quality of the leather is amazing.

I appreciate your suggestion, but the adhesive is a deal breaker.

I got this 11" case from Pad & Quill today and am very pleased at the quality of leather and the light weight of the whole package..........package.......exterior......set up. I like being able to access the entire surface of the iPad.

Looks really nice. It wouldn’t meet my needs as the edges and corners remain unprotected, but a nice alternative to the Apple original cases.

I would love to see some pictures when you get it.

That case looks gorgeous. I was just about to hit the button before, but now I think I'm going to do it.

Which color is that--whiskey or chestnut?
chestnut. I like the whiskey too, but decided on the darker color for long term use. I also thought the monogram looked nice, but unobtrusive. Hope you enjoy yours!

It does look nice. Thanks for sharing your photos; the color is hard to be sure of on the website.

I love P&Q products and have been thinking about this case. I see it allows you to prop it up to use with a keyboard, but can you use it like the apple folio where it creates a wedge for a slight prop up while on a desk or in your lap?

I don't know yet. I've ordered one, but it won't be in for a couple of days.

When I get it in, I'll let you know if someone else hasn't already by that point!
