Recommendations for a Journal or Diary App?

I'm looking into adding a diary/journal app and would appreciate your recommendation or even suggestions on which apps to stay away from.

I have Steampunk Journal right now but am hopeful there is a better app out there.

No biggie. Found the other and will try it out.
(I almost, on impulse, purchased the party app after reading the description but then thought to myself, "What the heck am I doing?" So many times I've downloaded apps and simply never use them).
