Recommendations please - USB 3.0 CF Card Reader

I'm getting more and more fed up with my Lexar Professional Workflow CF card reader not being reliably detected by my MacBook Pro (2012 retina).
Has anyone found one that reliably works?

Try swapping out the cable for another one, if you haven't done that already. I had the same problem you're experiencing, and was ready to scrap the Lexar. It was frustrating.

Then I tried a new cable and since then, it's been perfect.

I've been using a Lexar Professions USB Dual Slot USB 3 Reader ( https://www.amazon.com/Lexar-Profes...=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B00WBK03OU )
for several years, connected to an early 2009 MacPro. It has worked flawlessly.

I second monokakata's of first trying a new USB cable.

I've been using transcend card reader and it works phenomenal for $12! Read/Write speeds are often limited by the card itself as I havent maxed out this reader.
