Lo and behold, we’re no longer able to charge the iPhone 16PM on the Tesla charging pads with either the Apple silicone or acrylic cases.

A few friends and I tested this on the Y and 3 (2020-2023), so curious if anyone has had better luck with other cases.

The workaround is to flip the phone upside, but hoping for a better solution. 🤓

Just an fyi - my 16 Pro Max still charges and fits fine on my 21 refresh Model S with a case on. Just wanting to make it clear that it does not affect refresh S/X models, since titles does not. 😀

I have a iPhone 16 Pro Max with an Apple clear case and a 2022 Model Y. I find the phone will charge if I rotate it 180° so that it's upside down (but still face up). It will not charge wirelessly if I put it right side up.

I also find that Apple's clear case is the only one that will let me reliably charge. Other cases are hit and miss.
