So you suggest backing up to my MBA via Finder then save that backup to two Ext HD's? ThanksStoring on an external drive is a good idea. I suggest making at least 2 copies of the backup and storing each one in a separate place. That way, if the drive goes bad etc., you still have another backup.
Yes. You can also use an app called iMazing, which is a paid app but, it will allow you to do backups for free. It is an excellent app as well. It gives you much more control over your backups than Apple does.So you suggest backing up to my MBA via Finder then save that backup to two Ext HD's? Thanks
I'm such a grandpa hermit under a rock! I thought iTunes was gone? Apple Music is the same thing right?I use iCloud, iMazing and iTunes for separate backups..
My iMac is limited to High Sierra so newer versions would use Finder. I believe your device will show up on the left side of the screen amongst the other categories.I'm such a grandpa hermit under a rock! I thought iTunes was gone? Apple Music is the same thing right?
I just started up iMazing 2.14.5 running on macOS Monterey 12.0.1 and I'm not seeing this behavior. I also ran the Back Up Operation and it completed successfully.Anyone else running iMazing on macOS Monterey noticing the app closing prematurely and when re-opened, the license has to be re-activated? This happened to me 3 times tonight. I just sent a report to iMazing. The good news is the app is still backing up properly.
Thanks for the reply. Tech support told me no one else has reported such behavior. I will reinstall and see if that solves the problem.I just started up iMazing 2.14.5 running on macOS Monterey 12.0.1 and I'm not seeing this behavior. I also ran the Back Up Operation and it completed successfully.
No problem. Hopefully the reinstall sorts your issue. Maybe it's a case of a corrupted prefs file somewhere on the system. Thanks for the reply. Tech support told me no one else has reported such behavior. I will reinstall and see if that solves the problem.
gosh I guess I should backup so I have a current backup and see what actually happens when I plug the phone into the laptop! Its been years! My laptop doesn't have room for such a large back up so I'll have to toss it on a hard drive like last time!My iMac is limited to High Sierra so newer versions would use Finder.
