I'm going to buy FCPX and am hoping to get some recommendations as to some good training material (i.e. Videos, books, etc...)

I downloaded the trial version and have been working with the various features, but I really need some training.

I'm heavy into photography (Lightroom, etc...), but am just getting into video and having trouble grasping some of the basics.

For example, the whole concept of Events and Projects seems backwards to me (i.e. Events are created first, projects next and projects are then associated with an event). I think in terms of projects (i.e. A movie) where events might be the various scenes of a movie (i.e. Projects come first and events next, then events are associated with a project).

So, as you can see, I'm having trouble getting past "first base" (i.e. Basic organization) and needs little guidance to help get me on the right path.

Thanks in advance!

Lynda.com has a good essentials training series.
