I could use some recommendations for a decent webcam with built-in microphone for Facetime use with my 2024 Mac Mini. I currently have a Razer Kiyo set up and it basically works, but the microphone is very weak. Even at full mic volume I have to really speak up for Siri to figure out what I'm saying. I'd like something that works well with Mac and the Kiyo doesn't seem to be it.

Any suggestions?

I use a Insta360 Link2, I liked the image quality and audio more then the Logitech 4k magnetic webcam that I was using with my Pro Display XDR. Even if you don’t use all the fancy features, image tracking and gestures it is great quality and has been solid even when swapping between two different laptops docked to the display.

Thanks for that. That might be more than I want to spend for just Facetime and Siri use, but finding something that performs well and gets the job done reliably could be worth the extra cost.

Continuity Camera with your iPhone.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with Siri. Not sure how practical it would be to always have my phone available for that anyway.

I might just forego using Siri through voice on my desktop. Could be the simplest solution in the end.

Do other camera work for “Hey Siri”? Might just be a Studio Display thing.

My current Razer Kiyo "works" but the mic volume is so low I need to speak at a very loud volume for Siri to understand me, so it seems like it is supported but my Kiyo just has a poor mic at least with MacOS. Others seem to have had similar problems with the Kiyo, hence my quest :)

Thanks for the input guys. I think for now I'll just go back to continuity camera for Facetime and try just using type to Siri instead of voice on my Mac. Probably not much of a sacrifice once I get used to it.
