I was wondering if there'd be a section added for the radio stations...
obviously you don't buy those, but this site doesn't exist just to drive Apple sales... does it? :)

:)

Are there that many radio stations?

Maybe one day... but still trying to workout the song rec code-base.

Maybe not. I was just looking for an excuse to plug Radiio Paradise. :)

I would love to see more stations in iTunes,
How about the new Air America (which now uses real player)

Green Lounge

The Green Lounge under the ecclectic category is a great place to listen to swank lounge music -- everything from Sinatra to Les Baxter can be heard there.

I'll check that out right now, thanks.

I'm a huge fan of lounge music and I loved the old internet station http://www.luxuriamusic.com. They used to have a live DJ with a webcam, so you could chat with them during the show and request songs. It probably cost them too much $, but I just checked out their site and they are still around. I don't know how good it is anymore, they were inactive for a long time and the new site design is not as cool as the old site. But if the music is as great as I remember it, I start listening again.
Best of all, they have an iTunes stream.

Does anyone know how to add stations to the Radio section of iTunes ?

Do the included stations have a contract with Apple, since they are bundled with iTunes ? I had to make a playlist with other radio streams.

Thank you!

LuxuriaMusic is great! The best part is they actually have the artists' names in the info window with the broadcast! Really exotic stuff! Love it! Thanks again! :D

Yep!

I love it, the music seems to be as great as I remember it.
Dim the lights, get a martini and chill in the Tiki lounge...

iTunes and LuxuriaMusic

We are working with iTunes to add LuxuriaMusic as an iTunes station.

Live DJs and the webcam coming soon and a groovier site design is in the works.

Most importantly, a music mix you will not hear anywhere else.

We have an interview coming up with Vic Mizzy (the composer of the Addams Family and Green Acres themes) and Easitaly!, Italian easy listening, new lounge and new jazz.

ENJOY!

I'd love to see you guys on iTunes, is there anything we can do, as customers, to help?

I can't wait either.
It's gonna be such a cool cat swingin' party.

LuxuriaMusic, I also like the new Bollywood music you have now. Keep up the good work!

a million thank yous!

I was just getting back into looking for some radio feeds -- this discussion was one of the first things I clicked on. LuxuriaMusic is FANTASTIC! I LOVE IT!

thank you thank you thank you! :) :D :) :D

KEXP.org is pretty damn good, I listen to it all the time over here in the UK, even though it's a Seattle based public radio station. They do have a lot of good music on, stuff that I'd consider more 'serious' music than you might hear on other stations....

Just my 0,02€

Virgin Radio seems to be the best the UK has to offer on iTunes atm, I like it :)

i listen to it everyday at work... i like it a lot... except that the time is so far ahead, it makes think its time to leave as soon as i get there... : )

geeza's virgin confessions is hilarious!!!

BBC radio?

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to listen to the BBC stations through i-tunes? Radio 1 access would be great. Cheers, L.

No iTunes yet with BBC.

That's one place where iTunes is lacking, the radio stations are still few and many of them are not very good.

Not (entierly) in itunes, but kexp.org is the best radio station, internet or otherwise, that has ever existed. Check it out.

Now, I seriously want itunes to be able to read WMA and Real feeds, and then you click on the song, and it doesn't matter who's providing, it tells you the song name, all the info, including label, and/or takes you to itunes music store to buy the song. If real can hack fairplay, apple could do this... and then lisence fairplay, and really come out on top. Integrate with wifi ipod, so you can get any radiostation broadcast to your ipod where there is wifi, and purchase songs from itms, or just line them up for purchase once you connect to your computer.... wow. That would be awesome.
