Recently my isp sent me a new modem. So, my old wifi network is no longer visible. I used to stream music from my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010) to this Airport Express.
The Airport Express and iMac were only connected via wifi, no cable.
Now I try to reconfigure the Airport Express.
The Export Express shows a blinking orange led.
I pressed the button on the Airport several seconds, then the led shortly started blinking faster.
Then I opened the Airport app on my iPhone 6s. It says no Airport is found.
On my iPhone I found the Airport in the wifi networks. I selected it and it started making a network.
The led is still blinking, that was not with the previous modem, probably because it does not find internet, which is okay to me.
I do not know how I set this up earlier, via an older iPhone or not. I remember reading not all Airports are configurable via all iPhones.
How do I get my iMac playing music via the Airport? It does not show up in wifi networks.

you might try fully resetting the airport express again and then using the wired port for setup and testing first.

then when you go through wifi setup for the airport express, you want to configure it as a member of an existing network (your new wifi network). it will connect to your new router as a client (as will your imac) and once both devices are connected to your new wifi network they will be able to communicate and you can play audio via airplay. the benefit is that your imac have better performance connected to your new wifi network versus having to use the older wifi tech and additional wireless hop through the airport express serving an additional wifi network. i wouldnt have the airport express broadcast at all unless you really need a repeater

once your express is back online, make sure to check for firmware updates in the airport express app so you can be sure you have airplay 2.

What do you mean by additional wireless hop? My iMac is connected to the new WiFi network.
Previously airport and iMac were connected to the old WiFi network, now I want them connected the same way, but to the new WiFi network.

yep, all good. wasnt clear if the AP was the Acess Point on old config. you should be setting up the AP under the connect to existing network option.

this might be helpful. would recommend starting with a hard reset via small button on rear then start on step 5

press and hold the recessed reset button on the back for about 5–10 seconds, until the light flashes amber rapidly
then Release the button, wait for the device to reboot, and it will be restored to default settings.

Thanks! It works, I choose to extend the WiFi network. I did not have to use an ethernet cable.

By the way, the funny thing is it works without problem on my old iMac. It already had the drivers installed from when I used the printer via usb directly on the iMac. My M1 Mac mini could not find or install drivers. Then I used the share printer option on my iMac and now I can print from my Mac mini.
