Not true, just compare the iPhone XR and Galaxy S10e ― pound for pound the S10e has better hardware, yet cost the same amount

And now you have explained to yourself why software, ecosystem, support, update- and privacy-policy matter as a huge surplus value which Android manufacturers will never overcome with spec- and price-dumping ... You feel smarter now, don't you? ;-)

I had a pager when I was 16. Being a cool kid is getting so much more expensive.
I had a transistor radio that had belonged to one of my older siblings, when I was 16.

If I could take my nondescript iPhone 8 back to show 16 year old me, that younger me would have a very hard time believing it wasn't an artifact from 200 years in the future.

I do suspect the results are substantially influenced by who was selected to take the survey and how the questions were asked.

I hire a lot of engineers after college at 22-25 years old... with very few exceptions, they all want company Macs and iPhones, almost exclusively. It's a sea change from this once-IBM/Microsoft shop, the company is now 40% Apple, almost 100% Apple in product development, info services and marketing.

If You are honest, that doesn’t speak for the American youth.
It’s very sad to see such a lost generation growing on such inferior overpriced tech like an iPhone.

I wish them best and hope they grow up realizing there’s a real world outside way better and brighter.
Why are you spending your time on a site dedicated to rumors about products you hate so much?

Yep. Still the best smartphone on the market.

BTW: Wreck 'em, Texas Tech!

Wreck 'em Tech!

Kinda shocked iPhone is still a high priority for the youth.
I love all of mine since 2011, but I guess the high price hasn't swayed them more to Android.

those "concepts" are taught.
Yes they are; you teach the concept of something then allow the individual to choose what's most suitable for them within the concept. I don't know perhaps you like being spoon-fed, if so i guess yeah Apple!!! woo!!

So glad we didnt have iPhones in middle school or high school / Instagram and all that garbage... I think it would be totally poopy to be a teenager in 2019
Sadly you are correct. Considering the Teen suicide rates are through the roof. Social media will soon be known as the "cigarettes" of our brains. It will eventually lead to debilitating illness and then death. Its just now being realized the long term side effects of all that BS.

Don't know about that, a pager was $100 to $300 for the device and $20 per month for local service(!), 100 free pages, $0,5 per extra page. All in 1990 money.

It sure was cheaper than current iPhones and contracts but it mostly just beeped for that money.

Of course! That's why Apple focuses so much on Emoji, Animojis, and being cute. Us adults complain and want pro features but you guys (I'm not a brand loyalist, I buy whatever's best that year) are already locked in so Apple doesn't care too much about you, it's all about locking in the younger generation and they don't care about specs or pro features, just bring on the cute fun.

Funny, in a group text with some android users - friends - last week one of them said he had an iPhone when he was in high-school and then he graduated. I laughed because iPhones didn't exist when he was in high school.

Kids don't care or know about anything you just mentioned, they are after brands/labels, it's an iPhone and that's all they care about. I have a 13yo and he loves iPhones but can't tell me anything about different specs, updates, or privacy (if he even knows what that is). He just wants to be down with all the other kiddy's.

If you're a teen and image matters (most teens care about this), iPhone is the way to go. If you're seen with an Android phone, you're basically a third-class citizen. iPhone FTW.
