Trying to do some basic recording in Garageband using my FAS Axe FX-II as the recording source and midi/audio interface. Everything is synched fine whilst recording and monitoring but there is slight latency on the recorded track, only heard during playback. I've optimised for minimum delay in the preferences.

What is wrong here and how do I fix it?

What mac are you using & specs? GB eats up a lot of processing power. Try closing some apps before the mixdown, so your mac's resources will be used properly by GB

Haven't got as far as mixing. This is just recording a single audio track.
