Hello everyone,
I have an emac OSX and I am very hapy with it. I especially like how easy it is to transfer/convert music from cassettes or even old records to music files that can be added to Itunes.
I would like to be able to add vocals to existing commercial tracks (some in cassette, and some in cd format) and then transfer the finished product to Itunes. This is strictly for my own personal amusement, so I don't want an extemely expensive package. Could any of you, please recommend something appropriate for this task ?
Thanks in advance for your ideas and suggestions

I recommend Audio Hijack Pro for any recording, although Audacity is free and works OK. Once you have the recording you can either use Audacity to add your vocals, or drag the recording into Garageband and then add a vocal track to it. If you've never used an audio editor then Audio Hijack Pro and Garageband is probably easier.
