... The American Home Recording Acts of 1976 and 1992 specifically allow recording of broadcasts as long as the recordings are for personal, non-commercial purposes. In my opinion, recording XM broadcasts falls under this "fair-use" allowance.

This area is always subject to conflicting interpretations, but I agree with your conclusion. The real key revolves around the purely personal usage, with no sharing and other methods of distribution beyond the original user.

Does it say anything about stuffing it up your arse or about the preferred volume I should be listening?
If I'm reading the terms correctly, I believe that what they are really saying is "don't bother with satellite radio, it's a ripoff."

XM Radio recording on a mac. Can I use Windows software?

this is a very old thread, but I still have a question about recording XM Radio. I've been using Replay AV on my PC for ages. It is an awesome application, the only one I know that gets a digital copy of XM Radio, records on schedule,...

But now that I'm to buy a Mac, I wonder whether there are any similar Mac applications? I haven't found any alternatives so far. I was suggested to try Replay AV on a Mac using Wine, but I haven't got my mac yet. Can anybody please try to install Replay AV on a Mac using Wine and report this hear? Thank you in advance.
