I switched to a new iTunes Library, and set the Podcasts default to keep the last 5 episodes. I then switched back to my current iTunes Library, and noticed that iTunes also deleted the old podcasts from the current Library! And they don't go to the Trash. I guess even though I switched libraries, the preferences stayed the same.
I would like to retrieve those old podcasts, and tried a free tool called PhotoRec. It found other deleted items, but not the podcasts. Does this auto-delete use a different way of deleting files? Is there any other way of retrieving them? Some of these podcasts are no longer available on iTunes so I can't re-download them anymore.
Not a big deal, but it would be nice to have them back. Thanks.
